Bilecik 1st Industrial Organization Zone (IOZ) was set up with the decree 7/12207 on 15th July 1976. Depending on this decree with the attendance of Bilecik Municipality and Bilecik Private City Management a 1500,000 m2 land was nationalized 4km far from the city centre to set up the Industrial Organization Zone after the places for green lands, roads social foundations had been separated, at the 1100,000 m2 land left,42 Industry plots consisting of 10000m2 to 100000m2 plots were accomplished. Today it has reached %100 fullness rates and by paying the credit loans in 1996 that have to be paid until 2004,it has become the first Autonomous Industrial Organization Zone of Turkey. it has been managed by the council of management that was formed by the industrialists in the zone. There is no empty plot for sale because that The IOZ is completely full. Marble industrialists have preferred our IOZ because it hasn’t any risk of earthquakes and is the marble stratum of Bilecik and its neighbourhood. 
 
In our industrial organized zone , 2500 people have been
employed.becauseof the last economic
crisis, this figure haven't been increased. Otherwise this figure would be 3500 people.Now,
in our zone, common facilities are, head office, fire extuinguish department,warehouse,
cafeteria for staff. In next future, projects of a multipurpose management
building having 3000 m2 covered area and fair & exhibition places
having 70000m2 open area and recreation places having 17000 m2 open area will have been prepared for implementation.
